As the second largest city capital in Catalonia and Spain, Barcelona is one of the most thrilling cities in Europe to visit as tourists. Barcelona has a unique identity that has not been emulated elsewhere. This is especially due to the influx of Antoni Gaudi, as artists of the early 20th century made marks on the city. His designs are mostly seen in exterior buildings, and are attractive and a huge draw for visitors to the city. The city is also a mecca for food lovers, offering endless options on a budget. If you are planning a visit to the city, there are absolute things you should do in Barcelona.

The best things to do in Barcelona
house
With every interpretation of blue, green and turquoise, Casa Batro is one of the most famous Gaudi architectures in the city of Barcelona and is my personal favorite. The exterior is influenced by nature, so there are no straight lines (as Gaudi himself pointed out that nature doesn’t have). Despite the grandeur of the building, the details are complicated and can make you adore.
Sacred family
While the European masterpiece remains unfinished, visitors flock to the days of the La Sagrada Familia to see this incredible cathedral, one of Barcelona’s most visited attractions. You can buy you Sacred Family Entrance Ticket Online to ensure your visit. I highly recommend booking major attractions in advance as Barcelona can get very busy in the summer months. This is no exception.
Park Güll
Park Gyuul feels like a fairy tale where you step inside. Especially if you booked viewing times for sunrise or sunset (yes, you must book in advance!), the popularity of Park Gül visitors must book in advance, and assign time slots for your visit. One of the least popular times when I had booked was sunrise, but it turned out to be a blessing of disguise as it was one of the most magical times for enjoying the park and scenery.
Boqueria
If there is only one market you need to go to while you’re in Barcelona, it’s Lavoqueria. It is one of Barcelona’s oldest markets, dating back to 1217, never moved from a place on the busy streets of the Rambla. Be prepared for sensory overload. From shouting attention from the stall owner to every wavy thing, everything fresh, to seafood, fruit, baked goods… you sell it.
Tibidabo Amusement Park
Is this a city where you can enter a theme park on the top of the mountain and enjoy the wide view of the city? Yes, please! Tibidabo is open until 9pm, making it a great place to spend the night and offers the perfect perspective to appear at sunset.
Enjoy the best views of Barcelona
Barcelona is even more beautiful from above, especially if you can get a bird’s eye view at the golden sunset illuminated the colours of the terracotta rooftop. Perhaps the best views are on the helicopter, but if your budget doesn’t allow you, you can get some great views from the local favorite Carmel’s point of view bunker.
Milan’s house
Built in the early 20th century and designed by Antoni Gaudi, Casa Mirasha is an impressive display of modernist architecture and another fan’s favorite as she explores Barcelona. Because of its functionality, it has been praised as Gaudi’s most iconic work of art.

Barcelona is the dream of a gastronomic lover, and this is National The heart of Barcelona. I only heard about this restaurant from my local friend David.
Ramblas
You cannot come to Barcelona without heading to Las Ramblas, a pedestrian street lined with trees filled with various sights and sounds. Make sure to bring your belongings closer, this is also the most popular place in Barcelona pick pockets.
Barcelona City Beach
Another highlight of the beachfront Barcelona location is how much of the city’s lifestyle is run on the beaches of the city. The beach is a stone that is only separated from the barcelona stomps, but it feels like it is leaving the world with its own talent and identity.
Take a day trip to Montserrat
If you’re spending more than a few days in Barcelona, you might consider taking a day trip from the city to nearby Montserrat. This incredible mountainous area was on a few trains from Barcelona and soon became the most popular day trip out of town. You do not need to take a tour to visit. Easy to use public train systems and head there.
Rooftop Bars in Barcelona
For cities with beautiful street-level architecture, the views are only better from above. Barcelona has a handful of amazing rooftop bars. One of my favorite discoveries is on the second floor of the casual Mandarin Oriental roof Delicious small portions restaurant focused on Peruvian cuisine. The drinks are punchy and the view is the next level!
Picasso Museum
Living one of his most extensive collections of works, the Picasso Museum in Barcelona is a must-see for Pablo Picasso fans.

In a city that boasts local cuisine, Barcelona does not fail to be disappointed. Every night, a food tour of the city embarks on a feast for foodies around town. This was one of my favourite memories from my first trip to Barcelona. This is because I acted to satisfy my palette and serve as the history of the city from the guide.
Look at Elbow
Instead of taking an organized tour, if you want to agree on your own, then just go to the vibrant parts of Elborne. Here, locals and visitors mix in a bar hopping way, each one heads from the bar to the next. There are no specific bars to do often. Try it all! From taquerius, a tequila specialist, to heartfelt Catalonian meals, there’s something for everyone.
