Montenegro is a country I’m eager to visit. The lush green mountain range, beautiful beaches to the south and warm hospitality have always attracted me. But for some reason, it took me much longer than I expected to finally travel to Montenegro. If you are considering this Balkan country, I have the 10 best places in Montenegro listed to help you plan your stay!
This year, I was invited to speak at a conference for entrepreneurs, and my heart was replenished. I stayed for three days for a meeting and spent another two weeks exploring Montenegro. My visit was late May/early June and the weather was unfavourable. Rain and lots of it! However, for a few days of sunlight I enjoyed, I was able to discover some of the South Coast and North Montenegro towards the end of my trip. These are the Montenegro locations you must visit!

1. pert
down It is a small fishing village that will soon become a hot spot for visitors who are looking to venture beyond the overpopulated kotor (more on this later). Be sure to board a short boat from the town towards the island created by the two men who made Perust famous. Our Lady of the Rock and St. George.

2. kotor
Located in the bay below the Lobchen Mountains kotorfollowing the influx of cruise ships docking here over the summer months, it quickly became a must-see destination. A secret trick to visit Kotor is to stay in the town itself, take regular day trips, enjoy the town in peace and quiet once the cruise ship departs the day and the city’s streets become quiet and charming. Hike the Kotor Fortress Trail for a spectacular view of the city. This is a free alternative to the populated San Giovanni Trail, and will return as much as 8 euros (still free to visit the castle.

3. Rob Chan
lovcen The mountain is located southwest of Montenegro and offers amazing views of the range of mountains below. Often this destination is covered with a low lying cloud stream that is even more etheric. The price to enter is 2 euros in the national park and 5 euros to spirits us, allowing you to enjoy the panoramic views from this man.

4. Durmitor National Park
Heading north of Montenegro, it may seem like a mission, but that’s what you pay with dividends when you arrive at the spectacular views within Dermiter National Park. This is one of the most famous regions in Montenegro, making it perfect for a few days trekking as it can be long day hiking or exploring a few days of trekking throughout the summer, or becoming a large ski resort from December to March.

5. St. Stephen Island
This small island off the southwest coast of Montenegro is home to Uber Luxe Aman Sveti Stevan Asset, unless you have a spare 900 euros, I would recommend valuing the island from afar as it is a perfect photo opportunity.

6. Damage Lake
Not too far from the Montenegro capital, you will soon come across Lake Skadal, the largest lake in southern Europe, and cross the border to Albania. The lake is a popular choice for kayaks and other summer water sports.

7. BiogradskaGora
Located north of Montenegro, this Forest National Park has many spectacular lakes, mountains and even ski resorts during the cold season. There are four national parks in the country, one of the smallest but most beautiful.

8.
hurhevića Tara Bridge is one of the most photogenic locations in Montenegro, north of Durmitor National Park. The bridge is a concrete arch bridge along the Tara River, located idyllicly between the villages of Budechevika and Treshunzika.

9. HercegNovi
Though it is the least popular in Baytown, southwestern Montenegro, Hersegnovi is still worth a visit, especially as there is not much tourist flooding. Herseg Novi sits at the opening of Kotor Bay and at the foot of Mount Orgen.

10. Mother of the Rock
It is close to the coast of Palast and can be visited at the same time, but it deserves a unique mention that the small artificial island known as Our Lady of Our Lady is one of the most photographed locations in the entire country.
